Apply to get Qualified Teacher Status in the UK
Announcement for overseas trained teachers wanting to work in England.
Great news for many international teachers as the Department for Education in England has announced some big changes.
We are happy to let you know that finally, the QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) application has opened to a range of new countries including South Africa and Jamaica. Check your eligibility here. The QTS is a legal requirement to teach in many UK schools.
From February 1st 2023 you can apply directly to the Teacher Regulation Agency to have your qualifications assessed and recognised. Apply here.
